SOUTH DAKOTA: Re-Member

Mission: to help rebuild homes, relationships, and lives for the Oglala-Lakota Nation through various projects on the Pine Ridge Reservation.

 

BRAZIL: Youth Chorus and Community Services of the Casa de Santa Ana, Cidade de Deus

Mission: to provide cultural activities for those living in the Cidade de Deus (City of God), a favela of almost 100,000 people in Rio de Janeiro. In addition to the Youth Chorus, the Casa offers a chess club, classical ballet classes, and a range of other inter-generational cultural services.

 

CAMBODIA: World Vision

Mission: to sponsor a child, allowing him or her better access to education and healthcare, and an improved quality of life.

 

INDIA: Mukta Jeevan Orphanage

Mission: to help set up a music program in an orphanage that cares for HIV-positive children.    

 

RAMALLAH, THE WEST BANK: American Friends of Diocese of Jerusalem/Arab Evangelical Episcopal School

Mission: to offer education to both Christian and Muslim students from families suffering economically. Run by the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem, the school offers sports and cultural activities in addition to its educational ministry.

 

RWANDA: Tubahumurize

Mission: to empower socially and economically marginalized women in Rwanda, most of whom are survivors of gender-based violence and oppression, many also living with HIV/AIDS. St. Mary’s donation helps purchase machines for its sewing education program, enabling women to become economically independent.

 

WORLD-WIDE: Episcopal Relief & Development (ERD)

Mission: to address the needs of underserved and vulnerable people around the world.
