Music from our Friends


St. Mary’s hosts Ars Antiqua’s wonderful concerts of 17th- and 18th-century music in our sanctuary three times a year. Dates for the 2019-2020 season are November 9, February 8, and April 18, all at 7:30 PM in St. Mary's sanctuary. Concerts are followed by sumptuous receptions with sweets or savories tied into the theme of the evening’s music. For more information, please go to


Other "Musical Friends"-- individuals or small groups who have performed in our sanctuary-- have included Anthony Newman, renowned organist; Melissa Shippen, soprano; Gary Goodman, pianist; Michael Meade, cellist; and others.

Recently parishioners and friends of St. Mary's enjoyed An Evening of Music with Peter Frost, Hui-Mei Lin, & Young Hae Han

The evening premiered works by Peter Frost, SMTV Music Director, as well as featuring works for piano four-hands by Dvorak, Ravel, and Burge. 



Upcoming events--

Benefit Concert 

Saturday, November 2, at 7 PM in the church

Hui Mei Lin, pianist and wife of St. Mary's Music Director Peter Frost, and Elaine He, a young violinist from the Juilliard School, will present a concert to benefit the music program at St. Mary's. Suggested donation is $25.

Ars Antiqua

Saturday, November 9, at 7:30 PM in the Church

Ars Antiqua will perform its first concert of the season with Arcadia in the Cathedral; Virtuosic Choral Music of the Italian Baroque. The concert will feature music of Scarlatti, Corelli, Lotti, and Baldassare, followed by a buffet of Italian pastries and coffee in the Parish Hall. Tickets are $35 and may be reserved by phone (914 238-8015) or purchased at the door.
